Getting there from London

There are many flight options from London airports to Marseille, Avignon, Nimes or Montpellier. The closest airport is Marseille Provence Airport or Aéroport de Marseille Provence and is located 27 km (17 miles) northwest of Marseille. There is direct and easy access onto the motorway (so no need to drive through the city). It takes around 45 minutes to drive to the venue. Car hire from a variety of different companies is available at the airport.

British Airways operate direct flights from Heathrow to Marseille.

EasyJet operate direct flights from Gatwick to Marseille.

Ryanair operate direct flights from Stansted to Marseille.

For those of you who intend to explore the Côte d'Azur and the French Riviera,
flying to Nice is also an option (it's a 2 and half hour drive from Nice to the venue).
A very convenient option is the direct Eurostar train from London to Avignon that takes about 6 hours. This is a special service which runs only in the summer months.

The trains are very comfortable, you can stretch out, walk around, enjoy a petite déjeuner whilst taking in the French countryside or have a snooze before reaching your destination. From Avignon TGV it is a scenic 45 minute drive to Lourmarin and you can hire cars from the station*.

You also have the option of taking the Eurostar train to Lille and then the TGV (train à grande vitesse or high speed train) to Avignon or Aix en Provence.  You can also Eurostar to Paris but then you have to change station rather than just the platform as at Lille.

*Note when booking a car that it is from Avignon TGV not Avignon Central.
